It might be a performative lecture with deviational strategies to produce constant displacement & wistfulness of perspective and language – a poetic and human masquerade, not so different from concepts like the higher space or generator of singularities. Let us call it a séance.
And, also, a reflection on the voices we use and hear in writing, reading or addressing, in boxed contexts or in between. A proposal for weak knowledge (questioning its authority, the implications of language and of the very questioning) and for strong summoning of the forces that lie underneath; for revealing the charms of intricate discursive strategies – allegory, indirect free speech, counterintuitive approach – in theater, theology and literature while feeding unseemingly haunted spaces.
Let us meet in that co-presence type of space, acknowledging the communion of the perspectives’ flesh, that is neither private (it does not belong to us) nor public (it does not belong to language), more like abstract and uncomfortable and, with the help of choreography, maybe even strangely familiar.
She looks for trouble asking to hear the saddest music. It is not easy to give up the comforts of you and I, but when we do, ‘they behave like resident aliens, whose citizenship is really elsewhere. They obey their prescribed laws but in their own private life, they transcend the laws; they show love to all’.
What kind of speculative language could perform something else than identity? Any indirect modality, that is performative and haunted, a masquerade, is a way to enter the margins of silence.
