Suddenly we discovered that we live in a “post-truth world”. Our trust in liberal cyber-optimism was replaced by disappointment. From now on, in order to claim that we understand well what happens, we will have to leave behind not only the TV but also the Facebook account… No. It’s not like that. It’s not so simple. It is naïve to talk about “fake news” without referring to “false consciousness” or to the decay of the bourgeois public sphere. Ovidiu Gherasim-Proca will present and discuss some of the ideas he had in mind when working on the book Almost counter-discourse, published in 2017 by Tranzit.ro/Iasi.
