2019

After 4 years of research and responses to the Bucharest context, the small scale initiative of ODD drew close a number of artists, designers, poets, scientists and thinkers. Their increased involvement shaped the course of the ODD proposals towards the scene; at the same time, it organically built a community.

This community functions as a work group, a place for exchanges, a catalyzer. Starting with January 2019, it also received a physical space from The International Institute of Contemporary Art and Theory in an apartment located at 4, Mântuleasa St. in Bucharest, and stabilized into a more formal group.

From the beginning  of this year, it will run ODD collectively: for the first 6 months it will focus on internal workings, then gradually open to public events. The aims are to continue the hybrid line of thinking and acting of the initiative, whilst addressing the processes collectively and venturing into new ways of living together.
