Passion and compassion

An open and analytical dialogue about passion and compassion in contemporary poetic language, and about the type of emotion such texts carry. Is the emotional a new way of being tested in poetry? On the risks that a poet assumes when they choose to approach a recognizable theme and on ways to escape this. On how the death theme has become usual, and on the ways in which it has been abused until it became ridiculous. These are only a few of the possibilities of a discussion which should lead to new approaches to poetry and an opening towards other artistic practices.

The talk is hosted by Vasile Leac and Andrei Dósa.

V. Leac has published several poetry books, most of them in several revised editions, a few of them renegaded; he is a founding member of the literary group Celebrul Animal and of the Ca și Cum magazine. In 2012, together with Bianca Baila, sets up in Timișoara the MOI/Museum of Interior Order; co-creator of the events waiting has something in common with the raised up collar of the jacket you wear on a date and of what can you see as far as you reach. He took part in the Awaiting Spaces – 2013 platform with the project Sugar Factory Oven. Curator of the W .A. D. event in Arad 2014.

Andrei Dósa (b. 1985, Braşov), poet and translator of Hungarian and English literature, has an MA in Cultural Innovation (previously Creative Writing) from the Literature department of the Brașov University. He published 3 books: When completeness comes (Tracus Arte, 2011), American Experience (Cartea Românească, 2013) and Nada (PandoraM, 2015). In 2014 he was awarded the creative scholarship of the magazine Observator Cultural.

Un dialog deschis și analitic despre pasiune și compasiune în limbajul poetic actual și despre tipul de emoție pe care o transmit astfel de texte. Este înduioșarea un nou mod de testare estetică în poezie? Despre riscurile pe care un poet și le asumă în abordarea unei tematici recognoscibile și despre cum poți ieși din astfel de zone. Despre cum tema morții a devenit uzuală și despre modul în care s-a abuzat de această temă până la derizoriu. Sunt câteva piste de discuție care ar putea conduce la noi tipuri de abordare a poeziei și deschidere spre alte zone artistice.

V. Leac a publicat mai multe cărţi de poezie; membru fondator al grupării literare Celebrul animal şi al revistei Ca şi Cum. În 2012, împreună cu Bianca Băilă, înființează la Timișoara MOI; coautor al evenimentelor așteptarea are ceva în comun cu gulerul ridicat al hainei cu care mergi la întâlnire și al ce poți vedea pînă unde ajungi. Participă în cadrul platformei Spații în așteptare – 2013 cu proiectul Cuptorul din fabrica de zahăr. Curator al evenimentului W .A. D. Arad 2014.

Andrei Dósa (n. 1985, Braşov), poet şi traducător din literatura maghiară și engleză, a absolvit cursurile masterului de Inovare Culturală (denumit anterior master de Scriere Creatoare) din cadrul Facultăţii de Litere Braşov. A publicat trei cărți: Când va veni ceea ce este desăvârşit (editura Tracus Arte, 2011), American Experience (editura Cartea Românească, 2013) și Nada (editura PandoraM, 2015). În anul 2014 a beneficiat de bursa de creaţie a revistei Observator Cultural.
