The Cultural Class is a transdisciplinary cultural project based on the idea that the analysis of the ideological and political positions of the various cultural “agents” can allow a deeper understanding of the role and function of culture and of contemporary art.
The Political Autobiographies workshop, held in Iaşi between the 15th and the 18th of July 2019, in which the political biographies of participants from the regional scene are being constructed and analyzed, is conducted by Belgrade’s cultural worker and artist Nebojša Milikić. This is followed by a semi-public meeting in which some of the cultural productions of international artists Anri Sala and Tania Bruguera are analyzed from the perspective of their political biographies.
The Cultural Class project also features an exhibition by Andrei Timofte, Artist, cumpăr apartament în acest bloc (Artist, I am buying an apartment in this block of flats) and one exhibition by international artist Minna Henricksson that will include the results of a two-year research on the anti-fascist monuments in Iasi.
