Underbelly, based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, is basically a curated collection disguised as a shop. It doesn’t have a regular outlet except the webshop but it materializes in different ways depending on the occasion. This weekend, Underbelly invites you to transform it by transactions.
We will reconstruct the history of spamming, trolling and bureaucracies in Mail Art and related, non- and pre-digital networks; then, we will flip perspectives, appreciate spamming, trolling and bureaucracies as modes of production, communication, intervention and artistic practice, and develop spamming and trolling bureaucracies using only pen and paper.
